Doug is a founding partner of GT Financial Advisors LLC, and has worked as a financial services professional since 1988. Doug specializes in helping clients achieve greater independence by providing families and small businesses with a full range of services, such as investment management, tax efficient income strategies, small business retirement plans and more. He works closely with each of his clients to ensure their strategies closely align with their most cherished goals.
Doug is an Investment Advisor Representative and will therefore act in the capacity of a fiduciary. This means he is legally obliged to act in your best interest. Doug holds Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) licenses: S-6, S-7, S-26, S-63, S-65. Minnesota License # 53754
Doug grew up in California and attended high school, as well as, college in Connecticut. While attending the University of Connecticut under an ROTC scholarship, Doug was commissioned as an Army Reserve Infantry Officer and recognized as a Distinguished Military Student. After earning his Bachelor’s Degrees in both Economics and Political Science from Humboldt State University back in California, Doug went on to complete the CFP® Professional Education Program through the College of Financial Planning. He also holds his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation.
Outside of the office, he enjoys fishing, backpacking, adventure travel, making wine, and spending time with his wife, Patti, and their six children.
